Chrissy Welsch (Teacher)

Chrissy, originally from Charleston, SC, began dancing at the age of three and continued to do so through the age of ten. She tried many different styles, but she fell in love with the acro side of dance. From there, she joined a D1 competitive cheerleading gym, where she was trained on how to tumble, stunt, and dance. She started competing nationally on a level 1 team in 2014, but by 2018, she was on a level 5 team, which was the highest at that gym. Alongside her teammates, she has won numerous national championships, including the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) three times. During that time, she assisted in coaching the youth and junior tumbling and stunting classes. Because of her work ethic and passion for the sport, she was chosen to receive the MVP award at her gym out of over 200 athletes. She was also placed on her high school’s varsity cheerleading team her freshman year, and in her senior year, was awarded Top Tumbler for the school.

She moved to Columbia, SC to pursue a degree in Radiology, and she began working at Goins dance at the end of 2022. She started out as a substitute dance teacher, and now teaches tumbling classes. She enjoys helping dance students find and build their confidence, while pushing them to achieve their goals.
